R. Kelly's Untitled went at number 4 with 114,000 sold. Receiving very little promotion and radioplay from both label and stations, its a display of his loyal fanbase. Seemingly one of Jive's top artists, its questionable as to why the album received such little support.
New Orleans continues their strong return to the rap game, as Wayne has done well, but aside from that, Birdman's Pricele$$ sold another 17,000 this week, making a grand total of 54,000. Former Cash Money artist, Juvenile debuted at 43 with 23,000 copies of Cocky & Confident being sold. Supported by singles, "Gotta Get It" and "We Be Getting Money", the Nolia rapper has a solid debut considering the dwindling album sales nowadays.
Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 sold another 28,000 bringing a total of 1,365,000, moving him closer to the 1.5 million mark. While Eminem moved another 8,400 for a total of 1,542,000 of Relapse. Heavyweight 50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct continues to struggle, selling 30,000 bringing a total of 257,000.
Pop star Rihanna moved 59,000 units of Rated R and B.E.P. moved 50,000, coming closer to the 1.5 million mark with 1,490,000 total.
Next week, the New Orleans return continues with fellow Hot Boy, B.G. releasing his Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood, while Clipse hope to find success with Til The Casket Drops on new label Columbia. Gucci hopes to find a good debut with the hype of his incarceration and newfound fanbase that he recently developed, while Snoop will see how the West holds him down and if the public can forgive Chris Brown for his actions with Graffiti. Timbaland hopes his newest will heat dancefloors and we'll see if B.E.P. is able to reach their destined mark of 1.5. million sold.
