Overall: The Clipse have grown considerably well as one of the best coke spitting groups in Hip Hop. The duo's greatest appeal is their almost poetic like flow that mixes punchlines and famous phrases to make the drug lifestyle interesting. As they proclaim, "we give the good and bad of each situation." With this album there was no overcoming their sophomore classic, and a desire of the duo to create more diverse music was in the midsts. Similar to their debut is what they aim for, here its a bit more polished with uplifting tracks that are both celebratory and enjoyment of the good life. There are moments of the street grit that they produced in previous albums, however they aren't as highlight worthy and even then are a bit positive. Their debut featured gritty street numbers and some club attempts or crossover tracks, but was merely a decent collection, their classic was a dark and angered release filled with twelve tracks of moving crack and successfully combining lyricism with moody Neptunes production. Here they acknowledge the past, but are more positive and relaxed. It isn't their best, a decent release but still considerably better than most current releases.
